1 Month with Jacob

Wow! It's so hard to believe that already Jacob is 1 month old. Where does the time go? He is nursing and gaining weight so well. He's already showing his big personality! Just today he realized that mommy was holding him and he squealed, then smiled! It was the cutest thing. He was so happy to see me. It made my day. We are all so in love with him already. I cannot imagine my life without him.

Here is a picture of Troy and Jacob. We took it at the park today. I absolutely love it! Jacob looks so happy to be with his daddy.

Thank you God for Jacob!~

Austin and Cody's first game of the season

Look at how handsome my boy's are! How did I get so lucky? I love them to pieces! I love this time of the year for this, the cooler weather and football games! Well on this particular Sunday it was HOT!

It was Austin's debut playing tackle and Cody's first football game ever! They both had a lot of fun. It was hilarious to watch a bunch of 4 year old's play football. I highly recommend it. :) It'll be good for your soul.

God Bless!

Cowboy Cookies~ What I'm making to cure my hubby's sweet tooth

Cowboy Cookies (1/3 Recipe) (I got this recipe from http://lickthebowlgood.blogspot.com)
adapted from Laura Bush

* 1 cup all-purpose flour
* 1 teaspoon baking powder
* 1 teaspoon baking soda
* 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
* 1/4 teaspoon salt
* 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, at room temperature
* 1/2 cup granulated sugar
* 1/2 cup packed light-brown sugar
* 1 egg
* 1 teaspoon vanilla
* 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
* 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
* 2/3 cups sweetened flake coconut
* 2/3 cups chopped pecans

Heat oven to 350 F. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.

Mix flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt in bowl. In a large bowl, beat butter on medium speed until smooth and creamy, 1 minute. Gradually beat in sugars; beat to combine, 2 minutes.

Add egg and vanilla. Mix til combined.

Stir in flour mixture until just combined. Add chocolate chips, oats, coconut and pecans.

Using a medium ice cream scoop (2 Tablespoons) drop dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing 3 inches apart.

Bake in 350 F oven for about 15 minutes, until edges are lightly browned. Remove cookies from rack to cool.

Makes about 2 dozen cookies.

Now go make this, go on! They are super yummy delicious!

Hugs!
